StartCom

StartcomStartCom is a Linux distro “based on the Red Hat Enterprise and Fedora source code, each modified with reliability, security and efficiency in mind, to fit the tasks assigned to each flavor of StartCom Linux”. StartCom may be installed as a server, desktop, virtualization, or clustering system.

Comments: StartCom features a GUI installer, with LVM as the default partitioning scheme. The installer provides the option to set up a server (no graphical utilities), desktop (Gnome or KDE), desktop or server with Xen virtualization, or a cluster node. Start Commercial (StartCom) Ltd. In addition to its Linux distributions, StartCom also offers a range of enterprise and business services and applications.

Download/Buy: DVD iso images for 32-bit and 64-bit architectures may be downloaded from a download mirror near you. You may also order installation CDs or DVD. Like Debian, StartCom provides just one iso image for each architecture that is supported.
