Elisa 0.5.18 Released

The Elisa development team has announced the release of Elisa Media Center 0.5.18. Elisa Media Center is a cross-platform, free and open source media center software application, developed by Fluendo S. A, the Spanish company also responsible for the development for the fee-based Codeina Codec Installer Service.

The Elisa development team is on a very aggressive release schedule, at the pace of about one release per week. With this latest release comes the following new features:

  • Plugin management inside Elisa: inspect you plugin collection, look for new plugins, update the installed plugins, enable/disable plugins on the fly
  • A unified launcher for Windows and Linux
  • Drag’n'drop media files in Elisa’s window to play them

The complete list of new features and bug fixes are available here.

Elisa Media Center is installed by default on Sabayon Linux and Mandriva Linux Powerpack 2009. Mandriva Linux Powerpack 2009 seems to have the very latest binaries in its repository. You may download source tarballs here.
