Elisa 0.5.22 Released

Elisa Media CenterThe Elisa team has announced the release of Elisa Media Center 0.5.22. Elisa Media Center is a free and open source cross-platform media center application, developed by Fluendo S.A. of Spain. Dubbed “Where Is My Mind?”, this release comes with the usual set of bug fixes, and a few new features.

According to the release announcement, the main new feature of this release:

.. is a set of generic RSS models and a controller that allow plugin developers to very easily integrate media RSS feeds in their plugins. Expect new cool plugins that make use of this very soon!

A complete list of the bugs fixed by this release is available here.

Elisa Media Center is installed by default on Sabayon Linux and Mandriva Linux Powerpack 2009. On other distros, it can be installed easily using the distro’s package manager. Due to the aggressive release cycle of the Elisa team, it is very doubtful that you will get the very latest version from your distro’s package repository. Foresight Linux and Mandriva Powerpack provide Elisa Media Center installations that are only a few versions removed from the very latest.
